Update: November 2022 from Original Notice in May 2022
Dear Patient,
Dr. Calvin Kuo has made the decision to step away from clinical medicine and has finished clinic visits as of 10/28/22. He has been an amazing part of this clinic from the time he joined in 2009. He will not be continuing clinic practice anywhere, but will be pursuing other interests. We wish him all the best on his new adventure.
We are actively recruiting to find a physician to replace Dr. Kuo but this process is difficult and we expect this to be 2023 at the earliest. All of our remaining providers have very full patient panels and are not able to take on additional patients permanently. We have had other staff changes, losing a long time Physician Assistant, but have hired two new Advanced Registered Nurse Practicionsers (ARNP).
Until we find a new physician, understand that we are doing our best to see and care for all of our patients, including Dr. Kuo's patients, and our other exiting PA's patients as efficiently as we can. We ask for your understanding as we are working on hiring on a new physician to join the clinic. We are anticipating to be scheduling appointments farther out than normal and it may take more time to respond to non-emergent calls, issues, refill requests etc.
If this is not meeting your medical needs, or you feel strongly about having a male physician as a provider, then you will need to find a provider outside of TFPC. We have attached a list of local offices taking new patients. If you need to have your records transferred to another office, you can download a records release form form our website, or ask a receptionist.
Please check our website periodically for updates on when we hire a new physician. Thank you for being patient with all staff at TFPC as we are all working hard for you.
