Wilhelm   Monica Wilhelm, M.D.
Dr. Wilhelm received her medical training at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She completed her residency at St. Peter's Family Practice in Olympia. Dr. Wilhelm joined our Clinic in August 2000 and she is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice, and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice. Dr. Wilhelm has special interests in women's health, chronic disease management and adolescent medicine. She enjoys spending her spare time with her husband and 3 children, windsurfing, paddle boarding, skiing and running.
     
Duncan   Thomas J. Duncan, M.D.
Dr. Duncan joined our Clinic in July 2003. He completed his medical training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1996 and his family medicine residency in the military at Madigan Army Hospital. After residency, he continued to practice medicine at Madigan for several years before joining TFPC. Dr. Duncan is Board Certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians. He enjoys spending time with his 2 sons.
     
Whitney   Cynthia Whitney, M.D.
Dr. Whitney received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School. She completed her residency training at Duluth Family Practice Clinic in Duluth, Minnesota. Dr. Whitney is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Association of Family Practice. She has a special interest pediatric and adolescent medicine, women’s health and management of chronic diseases. She also has a special interest in sign language for hearing babies and toddlers and their parents to facilitate early communication. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons and many outdoor activities

Wilczynska-Oberc   Karolina Wilczynska-Oberc, M.D.
Dr. Oberc received her medical degree from Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum in Poland. She completed her residency training at St. Peter Family Practice Clinic here in Olympia. Dr. Oberc is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. She is fluent in Polish and has training in Russian as well.  Her special interests include women’s health, preventative medicine, pediatric medicine and geriatrics.  In her spare time, Dr. Oberc enjoys spending time with her husband, family and their dog, traveling and outdoor activities.
     
Kuo   Calvin Kuo, M.D.
Dr. Calvin Kuo hails from Texas and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He received his medical training at Texas Tech University and also completed his Family Medicine residency at Texas Tech. Prior to coming to Washington, he practiced medicine in Farmington, Minnesota. Dr. Kuo is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He has interests in sports medicine, adolescent medicine as well as geriatrics and a keen interest in patient education. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, skate and snowboarding, backpacking and spending time with his family.
     
 

Andrea Repphun, M.D.
Dr. Repphun received her medical degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine in 1998.  After completing her Family Medicine residency at St. Luke’s in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she moved to Olympia and has been practicing Family Medicine in the area since 2001.  She joined Tumwater Family Practice in January 2014.  She is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and has special interests in chronic disease management, women’s health and is currently furthering her education in Integrative Medicine.  She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking and playing outdoors

Surette   Paul Surette, P.A.-C.
Paul Surette, Certified Physician’s Assistant, joined us in November 2009. Paul obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. He then went on to receive his Master’s of Science in Physician’s Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. He graduated in 2008 and started practicing in Washington shortly thereafter. Paul is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of both the American and Washington Academies of Physician’s Assistants. Paul and his wife enjoy various outdoor activities with their two dogs. Paul is also an avid musician and enjoys playing drums in his free time.
     
  Barbara Sherry, P.A.-C
Barbara "Bobbie" Sherry, Certified Physician Assistant, joined Tumwater Family Practice in 2004. She left to pursue other interests in 2013 and returned to our clinic in 2014. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of both the American and Washington Academy of Physician Assistants. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and being outdoors.
     
  Louise Kaplan, PhD, ARNP, FAANP, FAAN
Louise Kaplan is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) who began her nursing career in 1974 after graduating from Simmons College in Boston, MA. She became a family nurse practitioner after earning her Master of Nursing degree from the University of Washington in 1981. Louise is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and also has a PhD in health policy from Brandeis University. She is an associate professor and director of the RN-to-BSN nursing program at Saint Martin's University. Louise has conducted research and published on a variety of topics including ARNP prescribing of controlled substances, prescriptive authority and health workforce and education issues. Louise is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners the American Academy of Nursing. She is actively involved in numerous professional nursing organizations. She enjoys hiking, traveling and is an avid who enjoys spending time with her two adult sons.
     
  Mark "Chris" Patterson, MPAS, P.A.-C
Chris joined our clinic in October 2015. After graduating from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's Degree in English in 2006, he entered the military where he served as a U.S. Army Medical Service Corps Officer and deployed twice to Iraq. He later joined the Washington Army National Guard, where he still currently serves part-time. Chris received his medical training through the military's Interservice Physician Assistant Program, accredited through the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and graduated with a Master's of Physician Assistant Studies Degree in 2015. He is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of both the American and Washington Academies of Physician Assistants as well as the Society of Army Physician Assistants. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and experiencing the outdoors.
     
  Samantha Garside, MMS, P.A.-C
Samantha Garside, Certified Physician Assistant, joined Tumwater Family Practice in December 2016. Samantha obtained her Bachelor's degree at the University of New Hampshire in 2011. She received her Master of Medical Science at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. She is Board Certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants and she is a member of both the American and Washington Academy of Physician Assistants. Samantha and her husband recently relocated to Washington and have already fallen in love with everything about it. In her spare time Samantha likes to spend time with her family, including her two coonhound puppies. She also enjoys hiking, camping, and skiing in her free time.

Ireland   Kimberly Ireland, ARNP
Kimberly Ireland is an Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner who is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She received her undergraduate degree (BSN) from Northern Arizona University in 1986 and her Master's in Nursing in 1993 from Oregon Health Sciences University. Her educational focus was as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Kimberly and her family have been residents of Thurston County since 1995. The thing Kimberly enjoys most about family medicine is the "family" aspect. She has practiced in a variety of settings including family practice, urgent care, corrections, and emergency medicine. Kimberly's off time is spent with her family enjoying outdoor activities, animals and crafts.
     
  Kate Fehsenfeld, P.A.-C
Kate Fehsenfeld has been a Physician Assistant since 1988. She has lived in Olympia since 1984 and she has worked in a variety of family practice and urgent care settings in the Olympia area since her graduation from Northeastern University. She is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Kate has a philosophy of supporting her patients as they overcome health concerns while learning to adopt healthier lifestyles that augment their health. While she is not practicing at the TFPC walk in clinic, Kate works in her own private practice as a certified acupuncturist. Kate enjoys children, dogs, gardening, bicycling and nature.
     
  Tammy Morris, P.A.-C
Tammy Morris was the Tumwater Family Practice Clinic's first PA in 1991, after graduating first in her class from the University of Washington Medex NW PA program. She left the Clinic in 2004 to pursue other interests, which include Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and Travel/Tropical Medicine. In 2015, she returned to work in TFPC's new Walk-In Clinic providing acute care. Tammy is Board Certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is a member of both the American and Washington Academy of Physician Assistants. She is married with one grown daughter. Her interests include yoga, meditation, organic gardening, integrative/functional medicine, and living with mindfulness and gratitude.
