Whitney   Cynthia Whitney, M.D.
Dr. Whitney received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School. She completed her residency training at Duluth Family Practice Clinic in Duluth, Minnesota. Dr. Whitney is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Association of Family Practice. She has a special interest pediatric and adolescent medicine, womenís health and management of chronic diseases. She also has a special interest in sign language for hearing babies and toddlers and their parents to facilitate early communication. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons and many outdoor activities

Wilczynska-Oberc   Karolina Wilczynska-Oberc, M.D.
Dr. Oberc received her medical degree from Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum in Poland. She completed her residency training at St. Peter Family Practice Clinic here in Olympia. Dr. Oberc is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. She is fluent in Polish and has training in Russian as well.  Her special interests include womenís health, preventative medicine, pediatric medicine and geriatrics.  In her spare time, Dr. Oberc enjoys spending time with her husband, family and their dog, traveling and outdoor activities.
     
Kuo   Calvin Kuo, M.D.
Dr. Calvin Kuo hails from Texas and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He received his medical training at Texas Tech University and also completed his Family Medicine residency at Texas Tech. Prior to coming to Washington, he practiced medicine in Farmington, Minnesota. Dr. Kuo is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He has interests in sports medicine and adolescent medicine with a keen interest in patient education. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, skate and snowboarding, backpacking and spending time with his family.
     
 

Andrea Repphun, M.D.
Dr. Repphun received her medical degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine in 1998.  After completing her Family Medicine residency at St. Luke’s in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she moved to Olympia and has been practicing Family Medicine in the area since 2001.  She joined Tumwater Family Practice in January 2014.  She is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and has special interests in chronic disease management, women’s health and is currently furthering her education in Integrative Medicine.  She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking and playing outdoors

Surette   Paul Surette, P.A.-C.
Paul Surette, Certified Physician Assistant, joined us in November 2009. Paul obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. He then went on to receive his Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. He graduated in 2008 and started practicing in Washington shortly thereafter. Paul is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of both the American and Washington Academies of Physician Assistants. Paul and his wife enjoy various outdoor activities with their two dogs. Paul is also an avid musician and enjoys playing drums in his free time.
     
  Barbara Sherry, P.A.-C
Barbara "Bobbie" Sherry, Certified Physician Assistant, joined Tumwater Family Practice in 2004. She left to pursue other interests in 2013 and returned to our clinic in 2014. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of both the American and Washington Academy of Physician Assistants. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and being outdoors.
     
  Louise Kaplan, PhD, ARNP, FAANP, FAAN
Louise Kaplan is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) who began her nursing career in 1974 after graduating from Simmons College in Boston, MA. She became a family nurse practitioner after earning her Master of Nursing degree from the University of Washington in 1981. Louise is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and also has a PhD in health policy from Brandeis University. She is an associate professor and director of the RN-to-BSN nursing program at Saint Martin's University. Louise has conducted research and published on a variety of topics including ARNP prescribing of controlled substances, prescriptive authority and health workforce and education issues. Louise is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners the American Academy of Nursing. She is actively involved in numerous professional nursing organizations. She enjoys hiking, traveling and is an avid who enjoys spending time with her two adult sons.
     
  Jennifer Casler, P.A.-C
Jennifer Casler, Certified Physician Assistant, joined Tumwater Family Practice in October 2018. She obtained her Bachelorís degree from Western Washington University in 1999. She worked as a sleep technologist for 13 years before earning her Masterís degree from the University of Washington in 2018. She is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of Washington Academy of Physician Assistants. Jennifer is a native of Olympia and enjoys many of the outdoor activities offered by the area. She also enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.

Ireland   Kimberly Ireland, ARNP
Kimberly Ireland is an Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner who is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She received her undergraduate degree (BSN) from Northern Arizona University in 1986 and her Master's in Nursing in 1993 from Oregon Health Sciences University. Her educational focus was as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Kimberly and her family have been residents of Thurston County since 1995. The thing Kimberly enjoys most about family medicine is the "family" aspect. She has practiced in a variety of settings including family practice, urgent care, corrections, and emergency medicine. Kimberly's off time is spent with her family enjoying outdoor activities, animals and crafts.
